lone tree on the mountain top
I had the pleasure of taking a trip to Colorado a couple weeks ago. Previously, I had only been to Breckenridge and Colorado Springs and wasn’t sure what to expect of Denver and its surrounding mountain villages. The time I spent there was right before the outbreaks of all the wildfires in the mountains, so I was fortunate enough to spend time up high as well as down low.
These pictures were taken on the Southern side of Rocky Mountain National Park near where the Arapaho National Forest starts. We were at about 10,000 feet above sea level, where we were following some ATV trails up the mountains. The views were incredible, and it was so amazingly quiet at the top. Of course, I wasn’t too happy about the austere conditions (i.e. the squat behind a tree style lavatory), but I made due in order to savor the views and take some amazing photos.
